The pilot is known as an angel in the sky. When a marine squadron is on the ground gunning it out, an A-10 Warthog
is like a beautiful God-sent blessing. Packed with the most state-of-the-art technology in avionics, armament, navagation
and others, planes are the most advanced tools in the U.S. Military. With some costing a couple billion dollars a
craft, they probably should be. And the ones who fly these modern marvels? Pilots. These are the warriors
of the sky, everwilling to put their life on the line for the brave soldiers on the ground below them. Some crave adventure,
others want to serve their country or keep a family tradition alive. Though reasons may vary, these pilots study hard
to practice hard.
In the past few decades America has seen what the military can do. Search parties
found Saddam Hussein and killed his sons, who were his successers. We've established a democracy and freed a country
of an evil dictator. We're making allies with the locals of Iraq and finishing off the terrorists. Yet all we
see on the news is violence and suicide-bombers. Road-side bombs and RPGs. True action still takes place and soldiers
are dying. Though technology and the Air Force are contributing to the problem. Unmanned aircraft such as
the Global Hawk and the MQ-1B Predator are making cutting the risks of losses in half.
By having such a powerful Air Force our country is on its way to a complete Iraq and soldiers back
where they belong; at home in the U.S. of A. So please feel free to search through the site to learn how America is
handling its Air Force and what technology plays important rolls in the USAF.
